Pride Month is a time to celebrate authenticity, resilience, and the ability to be yourself unapologetically. As a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, I understand the importance of feeling accepted, respected, and valued not only in our personal lives, but also in our professional careers.
For more than eleven years with Royal American Management, I have had the opportunity to lead teams, support residents, and help provide quality housing throughout Miami-Dade County, the Florida Keys, and now the U.S. Virgin Islands. Throughout that journey, I have never felt that my identity defined or limited my opportunities. Instead, I have been supported, encouraged, and empowered to grow as a leader while bringing my authentic self to work each day.
One of the proudest moments of my career was being named Regional of the Year in 2025. That recognition was a tremendous honor and a significant accomplishment. More importantly, it reinforced my belief that Royal American Management values people for their contributions, leadership, and impact, while creating opportunities for individuals from all backgrounds to succeed.
Along the way, I have learned that successful property management is about more than buildings and budgets it is about people, relationships, and creating communities where everyone can thrive. Being able to bring my whole self to work has allowed me to build meaningful connections with colleagues, residents, and industry partners. It has also reinforced my belief that diversity strengthens organizations and that representation matters. When people see leaders from different backgrounds succeeding and making a positive impact, it sends a powerful message that everyone deserves the opportunity to grow, lead, and pursue their goals with confidence.
One of the most rewarding aspects of my career has been helping residents during important moments in their lives. Housing provides more than a place to live it creates stability, opportunity, and a sense of belonging. Being able to support others while leading strong teams gives my work purpose every day.

This month, we’re featuring a Hydration Station with infused water ideas and refreshing combinations like cucumber + mint, lemon + berry, and watermelon + lime. These easy additions can make drinking water feel a little more enjoyable while helping you stay energized during the warmer months.
We encourage you to take a quick moment to refill your cup, pause from the workday, and give your mind and body a chance to recharge. Sometimes the smallest habits can make the biggest difference.
