What position did you start out in at Royal American?

Assistant Community Manager

Tell us a little bit about your career journey with Royal American.

I started out as an Assistant Community Manager at Briarwood Manor I and II in 2005. I was offered and promoted to Community Manager in 2014 at Mission Hills Apartments.

Share a favorite memory from your time with Royal American.

The first time that Mission Hills Apartments made a 90 on the HUD REAC property inspection! It was my first big inspection as a Community Manager, and our team was extremely excited, I couldn’t have done it without them.

Share some of your interests and hobbies outside of Royal American.

I enjoy watching HGTV and home renovation shows. I also like watching cooking shows. I love going to antique stores and I used to dabble a little in making gift baskets and knitting. I also enjoy crossword puzzles and scrapbooking.

What advice would you give to someone just getting started?

Make sure you truly enjoy what you do and that you really want to help people obtain a better living situation and quality of life.
