Wellness Committee’s: Bite’s of Balance- Watermelon

Welcome to Bites of Balance!

Each month, the Wellness Committee will be sharing a fruit or veggie recipe inspired by the Florida Department of Agriculture’s seasonal produce guide. Adding more fruits and veggies into our diet boosts vitamins, fiber, and antioxidants, helping support digestion, heart health, and immunity. This isn’t about dieting or changing how you eat, it’s about small ways we can all nourish our bodies – one bite at a time.

Have a favorite family recipe or a healthy dish that’s part of your culture? We’d love to hear from you! Share it with us at wellness@royalamerican.com (If your recipe includes a fruit/veggie it might be featured next!)

This month, we’re highlighting one of Florida’s juiciest season treasures — WATERMELON! Watermelon is a beloved summer treat, especially during Independence Day celebrations filled with hot dogs, ribs, burgers, and wings. While we enjoy those festive favorites, it’s also nice to have something light and refreshing on hand. That’s why we’re sharing three delicious and creative ways to enjoy it, both in the kitchen and beyond to help you feel good all summer long!

Download these recipes and give them a try! Send us a photo of you preparing one of the featured recipes and you’ll be entered into a raffle for $20 in Incentco points and a chance to be featured in the next edition of Bites of Balance!

Submissions are due by August 15th to ensure we have time to include them in the August spotlight.
