Wellness Committee’s: Bite’s of Balance- Mango

Welcome to a new edition of Bites of Balance!

Each month, the Wellness Committee will be sharing a fruit or veggie recipe inspired by the Florida Department of Agriculture’s seasonal produce guide. Adding more fruits and veggies into our diet boosts vitamins, fiber, and antioxidants, helping support digestion, heart health, and immunity. This isn’t about dieting or changing how you eat, it’s about small ways we can all nourish our bodies – one bite at a time.

This month, we’re spotlighting the mango fruit! One cup of mango contains about 60 mg of vitamin C. The NHS website recommends that adults aged 19-64 years old need 40mg of vitamin C a day! Mangoes contain over twenty different vitamins and minerals: they are high in vitamin A, potassium, folate – and also provide a solid serving of fiber. Enjoy this tropical fruit guilt free!

Download these recipes and give them a try! Submit a photo of yourself preparing or enjoying one of these mango recipe’s by September 20th for a chance to be entered into a raffle for $20 in Incentco Points! Email photo(s) to Wellness@royalamerican.com.

Have a favorite family recipe or a healthy dish that’s part of your culture? We’d love to hear from you! Share it with us at wellness@royalamerican.com (If your recipe includes a fruit/veggie it might be featured next!)
