Remembering Mike Mullahey
It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our colleague and friend, Mike Mullahey, a Maintenance Supervisor who served multiple properties in the Brooksville area. Mike passed away on April 17, 2026. He was 68 years old.
Mike was, above all, a hard worker. Throughout his career, he was known for his dedication, his willingness to go wherever he was needed, and his patience in helping others learn. Dave Kennedy noted that Mike was a true team player who was always willing to travel and step in whenever called upon.
His coworker and Community Manager, Amber Rodgers-Plants, reflected on the kind of person Mike was both on and off the clock:
“Mike Mullahey was an amazing person, friend, and co-worker. Mike was super smart and a dedicated and hard worker. I would call him and he would take the time and patience to walk me through. The residents, his co-workers, and myself truly cared for him and he for them. He taught me so much and I could never thank him enough. Mike is going to be missed so much.”
Michael Scenna, Maintenance Supervisor at Ridgeview, also shared these words:
“Although I only knew him for a year, he made an impression that is going to last a lifetime.”
Outside of work, Mike was a devoted husband of 37 years to his wife, Eileen, a loving father to Meagan and Timothy, and a proud grandfather to Cameron, Faith, Gavin, Cassidy, and Caitlyn. He was also fortunate to meet his great-granddaughter, Lyric, before his passing.
Those who knew Mike knew he had a big personality and even bigger loyalties. He was a die-hard Yankees fan whose memorabilia collection was legendary, and a Jets fan through every season. He was a lover of Oldies music, classic films, particularly The Warriors, which he could practically recite word for word, and sports trivia that he could rattle off with remarkable depth and enthusiasm.
We extend our deepest sympathies to Mike’s family, friends, and all who had the privilege of working alongside him. His warmth, his work ethic, and his memorable personality will not be forgotten.

I had the pleasure of working with Michael many times. Taught me things that i wont forget on HVAC and doors. Help me out when asked and never complained, he brought knowledge and a smile and that made the job brighter. He will be deeply missed by us at Ridge at Mt Dora, East Lake and Crown Point.
I was given the honor of working along side Mike on many projects. He was always there to lend a hand and work side by side with everyone to get things completed. He will be deeply missed.
