On February 8, 2023 a Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was held for Enclave at Lake Pointe, a brand new affordable senior apartment community for persons 55 + located in Houston, Texas.
Enclave at Lake Pointe has been a joint partnership with Magellan Housing, Royal American Development, and the Harris County Community Service Department (HCCSD) to replace affordable apartment homes that were lost during Hurricane Harvey. During Hurricane Harvey, nearly 100,000 homes were flooded or damaged, leaving residents, including seniors, without secure and affordable homes. Using Hurricane Harvey disaster recovery funds HCCSD contributed $15,095,025 toward the cost of this development through Hurricane Harvey Community Development Block Grant Program -Disaster Relief (CDBG-DR) funding.
Suwannee Spring Break Fest 2023
Check out this amazing event spotlight over at Suwannee Pointe. Their manager Desiree worked incredibly hard on hosting a week-long Spring Break Fest packed full of events daily to not only entertain but to benefit her residents. Amazing job Desiree and the team at Suwannee Pointe!
To Kick off Monday, Kim Griffin from the UF/IFAS hosted ” The Six Steps to Budgeting ” event and provided residents with Money Management Calendars. She handed out bags filled with Hand Sanitizers, Sanitizing Wipes, Face Mask, Hygiene essentials and Coloring Books. They also provided informational packets of Local resources that offer additional assistance to Suwannee County residents.
On Tuesday, Suwannee River Regional Library provided the Suwannee Pointe children a day of Crafting. And provided free books and library card registrations! They also hosted a raffle with the winner receiving a bag of books & movies! Read more
