Girl Scout Troop 1025:  Tomorrow’s Leaders

MODELLO APARTMENTS, HOMESTEAD FL

We are thrilled to share the inspiring story of Girl Scout Troop 1025, a beacon of community engagement and youth empowerment right here in Homestead, Florida. Our Modello Homes community is home to these remarkable young ladies, aged 5 to 17, who are guided by their dedicated troop leader, Mrs. Shyanne Jackson.  Troop 1025 is more than a Girl Scout troop; they are a symbol of our community’s dedication to the growth and development of our young people.

The troop’s older members are forging strong friendships and developing critical life skills through a variety of scouting activities and group outings. Excursions range from enjoyable visits to wildlife sanctuaries and museums to educational trips to local colleges like Florida International University, Barry University, Florida Memorial University, and South Dade Technical College. These experiences are not only fun, but they are also opening doors to future career possibilities and helping our young ladies understand the educational paths available to them after high school.

What’s particularly heartwarming is the troop’s tradition of sharing a meal at Chili’s after their field trips. This simple act fosters a sense of camaraderie and provides an opportunity for the girls to reflect on and share their experiences and learning.

We take immense pride in supporting our young leaders as they embark on a journey of self-discovery and work towards a promising future.

Their achievements are a testament to the support, and opportunities provided by their families and our community.

The Holiday Spirit was in full swing at a few of our communities! Check out all the fun below!

A few weeks ago the Reserve at Kanapaha attended the NCFAA Trade Show in Gainesville, FL. They embraced every minute of the event and really showed up. They represented RA with enthusiasm and pride and we wanted to give them a shout out! Way to go Kanapaha!

Independent adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) want a chance at life like everyone else.  They want to be employed, have a social life, build relationships, have opportunities to learn, make informed choices, and carry out the daily responsibilities of life like other adults.  IDD communities provide housing and supports for persons with disabilities to live independently and be a part of the bigger community where they live.

Royal American Management is incredibly proud to be involved with multiple independent living residences for the IDD community. Below you can find a showcase of our communities and a link to learn more about each one. Happy World Autism Month!”
