VTO Highlight: Beverlye Crossings

 

Don’t forget — all Royal American employees with at least one year of service are eligible for 8 hours of paid Volunteer Time Off (VTO) each year!

VTO is a great way to give back to your local community while still being supported on the clock. Whether you’re passionate about helping kids, animals, seniors, or families in need, this benefit is designed to empower you to serve causes that matter to you.

Need inspiration?
The team at Beverlye Crossings recently used their VTO to volunteer at the Heart of Alabama Food Bank, and their impact was incredible!

“As volunteers, we had the opportunity to contribute to various essential tasks, such as packing desperately needed boxes of food for those living in our community and organizing food donations for distribution,” they shared.

Alongside the other volunteers, they packed 227 boxes — providing 3,783 meals!

We’re proud of the Beverlye Crossings team for stepping up and serving their community.

Hatching Hope Contributions

At Royal American, we believe in lending a hand, not just to people, but to their beloved pets as well. That’s why we’re proud to be partnered this year with Hatching Hope, a nonprofit organization that brings hope and relief to families displaced by disaster.

This year, at our Annual Achievement Awards, our leadership team rolled up their sleeves to support Hatching Hope’s Paws of Hope Program. Together, we packed Pet Disaster Comfort Kits designed to provide comfort and care for animals impacted by natural disasters.

Each kit includes essentials like:
Cozy blankets
Food and water bowls
Durable leashes
Comforting toys
Basic first aid supplies

Our team had a great time coming together for such a meaningful cause! These small comforts make a big difference, ensuring pets feel safe and cared for during some of life’s most difficult moments.

Penny Wars Results!

April marked the return of a popular tradition at the Panama City Corporate Office- the Annual Penny Wars Competition. This event brings together creativity and strategy, as teams compete for two titles: Best Dressed Jar and Most Points. Teams collect pennies (each worth one positive point) while attempting to sabotage competitors with silver coins (which count as negative points based on their face value).

This year’s efforts raised an impressive $527.63 for Hatching Hope, a meaningful reminder of the impact we can make when we come together for a good cause!

We’re proud of the creativity, enthusiasm, and generosity shown by all teams who participated. We’re already looking forward to next year’s competition!

Pet-A-Palooza Results

We’re thrilled to announce that our Pet-A-Palooza fundraiser was a huge success! Thanks to the generosity of our team in Panama City, we raised money to support local pet rescues and made a difference for some furry friends in need.

With the funds raised, our Events Committee purchased pet food, toys, and other much-needed supplies. The rescues we supported include Nine Lives Rescue, Street Cat Society, Open Sands Kitty Rescue, and Lucky Puppy.

A big thank you to everyone who contributed—you helped make this possible!

RA Panama City Penny Wars Results are In!

During the month of April the Panama City corporate office rolled out a fundraising favorite – the Annual Penny Wars Competition. This challenge is two-fold in that teams must use their design skills and their strategic skills to try and win! There is a prize awarded to the team with the best dressed jar so teams work hard to present something spectacular. Once the games are opened, teams are challenged to collect pennies (valued at 1 positive point each) and they are allowed to sabotage other teams with silver coins (valued at their face value in negative points). The competition is fierce as everyone wants to hold the title of Penny War Champions. This year’s competition brought in a total of $853.07 for the Panama City Rescue Mission!

We are Pawsitive the Events Committee is Making a Difference!

 

The Event’s Committee over the past few months has been collecting donations and funds for local animal shelters in the local Panama City Area.

We are happy to announce that their Pet-A-Palooza event was a HUGE success, raising a whopping $700 along with an abundance of supplies.

Our local fur babies are so appreciative to all who generously gave and pawtnered with Street Cats, Nine Lives and Lucky Puppy, all were extremely grateful!
