Suwannee Spring Break Fest 2023

Check out this amazing event spotlight over at Suwannee Pointe. Their manager Desiree worked incredibly hard on hosting a week-long Spring Break Fest packed full of events daily to not only entertain but to benefit her residents. Amazing job Desiree and the team at Suwannee Pointe!

To Kick off Monday, Kim Griffin from the UF/IFAS hosted ” The Six Steps to Budgeting ” event and provided residents with Money Management Calendars. She handed out bags filled with Hand Sanitizers, Sanitizing Wipes, Face Mask, Hygiene essentials and Coloring Books.  They also provided informational packets of Local resources that offer additional assistance to Suwannee County residents.

On Tuesday, Suwannee River Regional Library provided the Suwannee Pointe children a day of Crafting. And provided free books and library card registrations! They also hosted a raffle with the winner receiving a bag of books & movies!

They also were visited by the North Florida Health Department who provided Free Health Screenings and Free COVID /Flu Vaccines. They also provided $25 gift cards from Walmart.

Wednesday was exciting as the Suwannee County Fire Rescue department hosted a “Fire Safety” course and Tour of their Newest Fire Engine and Rescue Unit. They even gave presentations on all their safety gear and provided a hands-on learning experience.

If that was not enough, Marisol Brown from Trinity Rose Realty conducted their “First Time Homebuyers” seminar and shared all the steps on how to aim towards Home Purchasing.

On Thursday, Mr. LaVern Bentz from North Central FL Mobile Notary Services gave great insight on the importance of having a “Will” in place along with additional services such as “Legal Shield & ID Shield”.

To tie of the week Deputy Jacob Williamson from the Suwannee County Sheriff Department hosted a Fraud Prevention course on Friday and instilled ways on how to not become a victim. Deputy Jacob Williamson was accompanied by the County Sheriff, Sam St. John.
