Royal American Management Supported LeadingAge Florida Convention!
LeadingAge Florida held their 59th Annual Convention & Exposition at Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek from July 19th through July 21st. LeadingAge Florida was established in 1963 as a Florida not-for-profit corporation. LeadingAge Florida is committed to assisting members in achieving excellence as providers, businesses, and employers. The Association is comprised of more than 250 mission-driven communities, representing more than 500 facilities and more than 140 business associates. More than 80,000 seniors live in LeadingAge Florida member communities.
This year Royal American Management was asked to present a break-out session about property maintenance on day one of the convention. “Taking Care of Business – Taking Care of Your Property” was hosted by Dave Kennedy, Director of Maintenance and Lori Agudo, Director of Training & Talent Development. The session objective was learning how to implement a maintenance services program to preserve your property, maintain the property owners’ investment, and provide services to ensure the safety and well-being of your residents. Dave shared his many years of maintenance expertise regarding preventative maintenance, conducting inspections, and proper care of an asset, and Lori discussed the importance of customer service, training, and how maintenance plays a critical role in resident retention.
The attendees were Community Managers, Regional Managers, and Asset Managers. They were a delight to speak to as they were engaged in the session and ask many questions at the end. Dave and Lori were super nervous but excited about the opportunity! Thank you to Kim Maggard for accepting the invitation to speak. We hope to have the opportunity to return to the convention next year!
