RA rolls out New Volunteer Time Off Policy

We are thrilled to announce the introduction of our new Volunteer Time Off (VTO) policy, which reflects our commitment to giving back to our communities and supporting causes that matter to us as individuals and as a company.

At Royal American, we understand the importance of contributing to the greater good beyond our daily work responsibilities.  We recognize that many of you are passionate about various charitable organizations, community initiatives and volunteer opportunities.  Therefore, we are excited to offer this new policy to empower you to make a difference and engage in meaningful volunteer work during regular business hours.

Key highlights of the Volunteer Time Office policy include:

• Eligibility- All full-time and part-time employees are eligible to participate in the VTO program after completing 1 year of continuous employment.
• Time Allotment- All full-time employees will be granted 8 hours of paid time off per year to engage in volunteer activities at a non-profit organization or school.  Part-time employees will be granted 4 hours of paid time off per year.  (** Time off must be taken in 4-hour increments)
• Approval Process- Employees are required to seek approval from their immediate supervisor before utilizing VTO hours. We request that you discuss your volunteer plans with your supervisor in advance to ensure minimal disruption to your workflow and team responsibilities.
• Tracking and Documentation- Employees will be responsible for having the Volunteer Hours Form completed and signed by an organization representative at the facility where you are volunteering.
• Eligible Activities- You are encouraged to participate in volunteer opportunities that you are passionate about.  The organization must be a non-profit organization 501 ( c )( 3 ) or a school.
• Submitting Time- You will request VTO hours in Paycom like you would PTO.  Select the dropdown in the time off request area that says VTO and your supervisor will approve it there.
