RA Gives Back; Bay County Council on Aging

Dear Generous Royal American Employees:
Thank you so much for your very generous donation to the Bay County Council on Aging. We appreciate your support in helping us provide services for the senior adults who have been so much a part of building our community. It is a blessing to be able to help them to remain healthy and independent in times like this. Your donation could not have come at a better time. We are working diligently to serve Home Delivered Meals at a level that exceeds our grant contracts for this service. We have been delivering meals on wheels to all seniors who are homebound as a result of the recent events and are who are continuing to suffer from the effects of illness due to the corona virus, other illnesses, living conditions and the aging process. This has been a critical time in our community for them and this service helps assure that seniors who wish to remain in their own homes are able to continue to do so. As a result of these efforts, our number of home delivered meals has more than doubled. These homebound seniors are not able to prepare their own meals, have no one to prepare for them and cannot get out to shop. They depend on us to provide their food each day. Our Board of Directors and staff are determined that seniors who need a meal will not be put on a waiting list for this service. We are determined to find a means to fund these extra meals and your generous gift will certainly help us to do that Your generous gift will serve as matching funds that are required to apply for the grant funds to provide services like home delivered meals for senior adults. Each $1 of your $4,000 donation will generate an additional $9 in grant funds and will provide $40,000 in services, more than 10,000 hot meals delivered by dedicated and caring volunteers to homebound seniors who need our assistance to remain healthy and safe in their own homes. Your donation will make a real difference in the quality of the life of elders. We are blessed to be your partner in service as we work together to assist the elderly of our community to remain healthy and independent in their own homes.
