Senior Affordable Auburndale Housing Available In New Complex
Polk County Housing and Neighborhood Development will soon start leasing out more than 100 units to those who meet income requirements.

POLK COUNTY, FL — If you are a resident who is 55 years old and older looking for affordable housing, more than 100 units have been completed that will serve one of the county’s most vulnerable populations, a news release said.
Auburn Village Apartments will start accepting lease agreements for those 55 years old and older and who meet income requirements at its 102-unit apartment complex beginning Feb. 1, Tamara West, Polk’s Housing and Neighborhood Development manager, said.
“As the local real estate market continues to push prices of living higher, affordable housing for vulnerable populations, like seniors, becomes further out of reach,” West said. “Programs like this help level the costs for those who are eligible and need it most.” Read more
