What does women’s history month mean to you?

It means the celebration of how far we have come as women. Our struggles and accomplishments make us who we are.

How did you get started in property management?

I was on a leasing tour while looking for an apartment in Downtown Orlando. The person that toured me asked me if I had ever considered a career in property management. That was close to 17 years ago.

What positions have you held with RAM?

Community Manager, Area Manager, Regional Trainer, and current position as Director of Training & Talent Development.

What does women’s history month mean to you?

Taking time to reflect on the accomplishments and the impact women have made throughout history.

How did you get started in property management?

As a volunteer, I provided administrative support for Women of Destiny, Inc., a RAM supported non-profit women’s group created by Barbara Moore (former Vice President, RAM Resident Relations).    This led to me becoming a staffed Administrative Assistant in the Resident Relations Department (now Resident Services).

 

What positions have you held with RAM?

I have had several positions with RAM:  AA, Resident Relations Specialist, Program Coordinator, Director—all in the Resident Services Department. Read more

AN INTERVIEW WITH KIM MAGGARD

What does women’s history month mean to you?

A dedicated month we celebrate and remind ourselves of the accomplishments women have made throughout the years.  A month we honor those who have come before us and those who continue to inspire us.

How did you get started in property management?

I got my start in property management pretty early on, just right out of high school.  I took a position as a part time leasing consultant while attending college. Never my intention for it to stick, but here we are 33 years later and still loving what I am blessed with the opportunity to do.

What positions have you held with RAM?

Was very fortunate to have been given the opportunity to join the RAM team in 2003 as a Regional Manager.  Through the guidance and mentorship, I have received, as well as the perseverance and dedication, self-driven, I progressed to Regional Vice President, and on to now where I currently hold position of Senior Vice President of Operations.
