MILESTONE ANNIVERSARY; CELEBRATING KIM MAGGARD

At Royal American, we are fortunate enough to have employees with tenure extending 20 years and beyond. Their knowledge and expertise are pivotal in the success and growth of our company all the while staying tied to the deep roots it was founded on. It is our honor to interview these amazing employees and hear their stories. We are excited to share with you.

This week’s milestone anniversary interview to share with you is with Kimberly Maggard; Executive Vice President

What position did you start out in at Royal American?

I started as a Regional Manager.

Would you tell us a little bit about your career journey with Royal American?

I started my journey with Royal American in 2003 as a Regional Manager. Through continuous growth and development, supported by great leadership and guidance, I progressed to Regional Vice President (RVP), Senior Vice President (SVP) of Operations, and ultimately to my current role as Executive Vice President (EVP). My journey doesn’t end here. I am deeply committed to ongoing personal growth, as well as the evolution and success of our organization. I am driven by a constant desire to push boundaries, innovate, and lead by example. As I continue to evolve within myself, I am equally dedicated to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence within our team. Together, we will navigate new challenges, seize opportunities, and achieve even greater heights of success in the future.

Can you share a favorite memory from your time with Royal American?

My favorite memory is on repeat daily, to witness the continuous growth and success of both the company and its people. It has been a true blessing to be part of an organization where I’ve had the opportunity to see individuals evolve and take significant steps forward in their careers. Whether it’s supporting a team member’s promotion to a new role, witnessing their professional development, or celebrating their achievements, these moments have been incredibly rewarding. Being able to play a small part in their journey and contribute to their success fills me with immense pride and gratitude. Watching the company and its people thrive has been a source of inspiration and motivation, driving me to continue contributing my best efforts to our collective success.

What are a few of your interests and hobbies outside of Royal American?

In my free time, I enjoy pursuing a variety of hobbies that bring me joy and relaxation. One of my favorite pastimes is spending quality time with my best friend and husband, Jason Maggard. Whether it’s exploring new places together, enjoying a quiet evening at home, or embarking on outdoor adventures, sharing moments with him is always cherished.

Another hobby I love is spending time on the lake, where I can unwind and rejuvenate amidst the calming waters and scenic views; being in nature brings me a sense of peace and tranquility.

Additionally, I am an avid reader and always have a book in hand. I find solace and inspiration in the pages of a good book, immersing myself in different worlds, perspectives, and ideas.

What advice would you give to someone just getting started?

After 34 years I could impart a great deal of advice, but if I leave you with just one… Surround yourself with those who will nourish you as you embark on the process of building your career. Find those individuals who will support, respect, and guide you.

We are so proud of Kim Maggard; Executive Vice President on her fruitful career with RA and invite you to help us celebrate her 20 years in the comments! Thank you for sharing with us, Kim.

Yayyy Kim!!! I still remember the very first time I met you during our inauguration of “Sunrise Commons” back in 2010 (Homestead, FL). Your Smile and Kindness allowed me to feel welcomed. Many visits followed since and you remained just a charming as the first time. As we celebrate you, I want to say THANK YOU!!! Thank you for your encouragement. I’ve watched you transition into these roles, and you made them appear easy. Your speeches never fail to impact me (with reading glasses or without-lol) and I always return home believing each statement of empowerment. Thank you for your Leadership. I truly hope to make you proud every step of the way. Thank you for sharing your story.
