In Celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month

Hi! I’m Desiree Marin, the Community Manager at Suwannee Pointe Apartments.  As we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, I’m happy to share a little about my cultural background and my journey with Royal American Management.

I was born in Jersey City, New Jersey, where my Puerto Rican heritage is deeply meaningful. It’s ingrained in our dance, music, and how we flavor both our food and life.

One cherished memory is the Puerto Rican Day Parade in New York during summer.  Annually, a whole day is dedicated to the celebration of Puerto Rican culture. vibrancy and unity.  Here I am wearing my pride in one of the last visits at New York.

After Hurricane Andrew, my family moved to Miami, Florida. In 2010, I went to Sunrise Commons , initially seeking an apartment, but I ended up working there, eventually becoming the Community Manager until 2021.

In February 2022, I returned to RAM, leasing up Suwannee Pointe Apartments in Live Oak, Florida, where I strive every day to create an inclusive community.

My journey reflects the enduring strength of cultural heritage, resilience, and community. I’m proud to be part of the Suwannee Pointe Apartments team and grateful to celebrate my Puerto Rican heritage during this Hispanic Heritage Month.
