Obtaining a designation in the multifamily industry is not only an important component of being successful in your position, but also viewed and valued as a high honor to obtain. It validates your knowledge, enhances your reputation and credibility, boosts your confidence, and earns you respect. Earning your CAM (Certified Apartment Manager) credential allows you to demonstrate your skills, knowledge, and ability to manage an apartment community and achieve owners’ investment goals. CONGRATULATIONS to Yasi Otero, Royal American’s reining Regional Manager of the Year! Yasi obtained her CAPS (Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor) designation from the National Apartment Association.  This nationally recognized designation is a monumental achievement and comes with the honor of joining a much respected and elite group of property management professionals.

The CAPS Program is an in-depth review of property management principles and techniques as used by the professional multi-site supervisor. The course helps make the connection between knowledge and on-the-job performance. Training is divided into five, eight-hour courses followed by a final exam.  The CAPS designation provides professional credibility, national industry recognition and personal growth and development. Earning your CAPS takes you to the next level in property management and we are very proud of Yasi for obtaining her credentials!

 

 

The Royal American family would like to thank William Williams (Webb) for over 24 years of service! Webb started with Royal American in 1997 and has been a vital part of our success in the North Florida area. Webb started at Heritage Apts. and Quail Run in DeFunak Springs, FL and later transferred to Bent Creek I & II located in Crestview, FL where he left his RA Family to move into the next chapter of life, Retirement.

Webb was always so pleasant to work with and was loved by many through the Company. One fond memory is that Mr. Frank would always rely on Webb to bless the food at work functions which he always did gracefully.

You will be missed by many at Royal American, and we wish you the very best on your new journey.

It’s with joy and sadness that we say farewell to Patricia North. Her journey with Royal American after 32 years does not go unnoticed.

She has managed Gatewood Apartments in Panama City since her employment began with Royal American. She has also been an area manager for multiple sites over the years.

 

While at Gatewood, she has survived a rehab and endured hurricanes that caused extensive damage. Whereas most would be frantic during these times, Patsy remained calm and collected

.

Patsy has always been a hardworking, extremely professional, dedicated employee with valuable ethics. She never turned down an opportunity to help and encourage others. Be it training new managers or filling in where there was no manager, she was always our Go-To-Girl.

 

In her years with Royal American, she has reached many achievements. She has won awards from Positive Attitude, Administrative Awards, Team Spirit, and has received awards for maintaining 100% Occupancy.

 

Her leadership and guidance have impacted many of her colleagues and residents.

 

She is a source of inspiration to us all and will truly be missed.
