For those of you who don’t know, Royal American has a non-profit organization called One on One, One by One. The One on One, One by One program delivers various welfare reform and workforce development services to clients who reside in Bay, Gulf, and Franklin County Florida. The program has been serving these communities for over 20 years and has assisted thousands of individuals with workforce services. The program staff provides the necessary support to families who have significant barriers to finding and retaining employment. The One on One program staff provides the necessary tools, resources, referrals, training, and career development for clients who need careful and strategic planning in getting back into the workforce.

We are so proud of the work our One on One team does every single day and would like to highlight some of the success stories of that hard work. The staff did an amazing job working with these clients highlighted below and so many others throughout the year. We are very proud of the One on One team!!

RAM Operations and Training Specialist Juan Rodriguez has been an avid supporter of and volunteer for SAHMA (Southern Affordable Housing Management Association). This year during SAHMA’s Annual Leadership Conference Juan was named a 2022 Outstanding Volunteer by the association President, Sonja Horn. This award was given to volunteers for their commitment and participation within the organization and in the state committees as well as state conference events. While Sonja visited all the state conferences this year, she made note of the hard work and dedication of their great network of volunteers. We are so very proud of Juan for his contribution to SAHMA and for being recognized in this way! CONGRATULATIONS to Yasi Otero, Royal American’s reining Regional Manager of the Year! Yasi obtained her CAPS (Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor) designation from the National Apartment Association.  This nationally recognized designation is a monumental achievement and comes with the honor of joining a much respected and elite group of property management professionals.

The CAPS Program is an in-depth review of property management principles and techniques as used by the professional multi-site supervisor. The course helps make the connection between knowledge and on-the-job performance. Training is divided into five, eight-hour courses followed by a final exam.  The CAPS designation provides professional credibility, national industry recognition and personal growth and development. Earning your CAPS takes you to the next level in property management and we are very proud of Yasi for obtaining her credentials!

 

Ismael has been in the industry for 12 years. He started as a maintenance tech in 2010 and within a couple of years was promoted to Maintenance Supervisor. He started working with RAM in 2015 and soon after was  promoted to Community Manager. At that point, he decide to go back to school to start working on his degree. In 2020 he was again promoted to Area Manager recently moved into the Assistant Regional Manager Position. We are so proud of your growth and look forward to the future.
