We’re thrilled to highlight our newest promotions at Royal American! Join us in congratulating Cindy Fonseca and Shannon Keusch on their well-deserved promotions.

Cindy began her career 8 years ago as a part-time leasing consultant. As her interest in the industry grew, she advanced to assistant manager and then community manager. In 2020, she joined Royal American Management as a community manager, determined to elevate her career in multifamily housing. Today, we’re excited to celebrate her latest achievement as she steps into her new role as Regional Manager!

Shannon joined our team as a Regional Manager earlier this year with an impressive 25 years of diverse property management experience, spanning from conventional, affordable, and military communities. We are proud of her dedication and hard work that has propelled her into a quick promotion! We know she will exceed our expectations in her new role as Regional Director.

We’re excited to see Cindy and Shannon continue to excel and drive our company toward even greater success!

Exciting news from the Training Department! We have made some changes to our Management Training Program which is currently required for newly hired/ promoted Assistant Community Managers and Community Managers. The Management Training Program is now known as Pathway to Policy & Procedure Compliance. This change was made in an effort to continue to promote other site level positions to participate in modules that are relevant to them.

Here are some important details:

  • Our RAU Training Intranet has an interactive calendar that will allow you to see what courses are being offered, course description, and target audience. You have the ability to add the course to your Outlook calendar or join the session live if it is occurring at that time. Please reference calendar and available resources here: https://royalamericanmanagement.sharepoint.com/sites/RoyalAmericanUniversity33
  • As a reminder, you can submit questions and request training through our RAU Training Intranet.
  • Some of the modules will be offered “live” and some modules will be recorded and assigned in Grace Hill. This will allow for a manager to take some of the course work at a time that is convenient for them versus having to be available for a live session. The live sessions will be hosted on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please review attached schedule.
  • There are new modules that will be added throughout the year: Human Trafficking Awareness (general knowledge and open to all – 1/31), Technical Proficiency (computer basics course – 2/07). Modules currently being created: Kingsley Secret Shop Training, Crisis Management (in conjunction with Risk Mgt. and Maintenance Depts), Time Management and Organization. Details forthcoming on all new modules.
  • Training surveys will now be assigned in Grace Hill not Survey Monkey. An employee will not receive credit for program completion until the survey is completed in GH. Survey feedback helps us to continue to shape the program and offer the coursework our employees need. The survey has four required questions and one optional question.
  • With each class we do activities such as poll questions, ice breakers, wordcloud, etc. This year we will be issuing a challenge to our students to participate in a card game called “Better than Yesterday”. This game has positive message cards that inspire an individual to be a better person than they were yesterday. We are all about positivity and inspiration in the Training Department and our employees have enjoyed these types of activities in the past! You will be issued a positive challenge during each session and for each person that participates they are entered into a drawing for a prize.

We look forward to being a part of your learning journey this year!

Dear RA Team,

At Royal American, we believe that “Everybody markets.” It’s not just the responsibility of the Marketing department or the New Business department; every employee has the opportunity to represent our company in their daily interactions. Some of our most valuable clients have come to us through referrals from our community managers, regional managers, contracting/vendor compliance staff, and more. We know that anyone, at any time, may come across a lead for a client looking for a new management company or someone preparing to embark on a new project.

To show our appreciation for your valuable contributions in helping us expand our portfolio, we are thrilled to introduce a brand new Employee Bonus Program for Client Referrals, effective immediately. Here’s how it works:

Bonus Structure:

  1. For referring clients with up to 99 units, you will receive a $250 bonus upon onboarding.
  2. For referring clients with 100-199 units, you will receive a $325 bonus upon onboarding.
  3. For referring clients with 200-299 units, you will receive a $500 bonus upon onboarding.

Terrie started at Royal American Management Inc. 25 years ago as an Assistant Manager at Alachua/Sherwood Oaks Apartments in Alachua, FL.  She transferred to  Village Oaks Apartments I & II as the Manager in June of that same year.  In April of 1998 she was promoted to Area Manager and through the years has had many different portfolios of HUD and RD Properties.  Also, in 1998 Terrie became the Trainer for new managers at all RD properties.  In September 2010 she was promoted to Regional Manager.  Her portfolio consisted of 13 to 25 HUD and RD properties.  January 2022 Terrie accepted the position of Director of Affordable HUD/RD Administration. Congratulations Terrie!

We would like to take the time to recognize Rose Clemo and her recent promotion to Creative Director of the RA Marketing Department. Rose has been with RA Companies for 8 years and has had a hand in branding  & marketing for many of our sister companies outside of RAM. She is also responsible for a portion of our corporate branding across all companies. Her role is very expansive and is not exclusive to RAM. When it comes to RAM, she wears many hats including handling many of our property requests, setting up our property websites, coordinating and designing signage and so much more.  Although, we would say her heart lies in branding our new builds and setting them up with a cohesive set of marketing that flows throughout each aspect of the community – something she excels at. When not at work, Rose can be found spending time with family, cooking up a new recipe, or doting on her sweet pets. Congratulations Rose on the well deserved promotion.

We would like to congratulate Rose Nurse on her promotion to Senior Regional Director effective May 1, 2022!  She has over 16 years in the multifamily industry and joined Royal American Management in January of 2014 as an Assistant Manager in Tampa, FL. Rose transferred to multisite Community Manager in New Port Richey, FL in July of 2015. Promoted to Assistant Regional Manager July 2017 and then Regional Manager October 2018.Congratulations Rose!
