“Royal American’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiative are committed to aligning our corporate culture and business practices so we may be a beacon to our communities.”

Today, we are proud to show the age and racial/ethnic diversity within Royal American because workplace diversity has measurable benefits for both our company and our communities at large.

“We believe our differences strengthen our company and improve our successes.”

Within a diverse workplace, employee teams are comprised of a variety of unique characteristics and perspectives. When embraced, this combination results in multifaceted creativity and decision-making abilities across teams.

Some of the key benefits of diversity in the workplace include:

  • Boosted problem solving
  • Enhanced creativity and innovation
  • Increased understanding of value sets
  • Better communication
  • Improved outcomes
  • Increased employee engagement and retention

“We empower our team members to take initiative and grow their professional careers.”

We are developing a corporate approach to career pathing to help our team members see a clear path to achieving their career goals.

At Royal American, Diversity is not only about age, race, and ethnicity, but about acknowledging all forms of diversity such as gender, sexual orientation, physical abilities, religion, political beliefs, educational levels, socioeconomic background, cultural background, military service, and more. Acknowledging all forms of diversity will enable our organization to foster a more collaborative workplace positioned to grow to its fullest potential.

Diversity, equity, and inclusion is a journey, which means it’s an ongoing process. Having specific goals for diversity and inclusion, and regularly measuring progress, is key. We encourage all of our employees to embrace and be inclusive of their colleagues’ differences and continue learning about the benefits of diversity as it relates to our communities and the workplace. Doing so will continue to position Royal American on the right path toward greater success.

The second annual NAA Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) Awareness Week is here with even more imperative knowledge on sustaining DE&I policies in the workplace and beyond. Each day, you’ll be guided by experts through online sessions that tie into the other lessons of the week, while also learning communication tactics from other rental housing professionals.

DE&I Awareness Week offers lessons all week long.  Encouraging all RAM staff members to participate in at least 1 workshop to broaden their DE&I awareness.
