Getting to Know the Compliance Department!

Veronica Ramsey: VP of Compliance

Veronica has 20+ years’ of experience in the real estate and affordable housing industry. She has experience in multiple roles in the affordable housing industry.  She has served as a Director of Housing, overseeing construction/rehab development, operations, and compliance. Previous experience overseeing a compliance department for one of the largest national affordable property management companies, a Regional Manager for a national property management company, and as Compliance Manager with Kentucky Housing Cooperation, auditing, and training for multiple funding sources including but not limited to LIHTC, HOME, Trust Fund, Section 8. Ramsey is a member of NAHMA, SAHMA, NAHB, as well as several local organizations in her hometown/state. She holds her HCCP, TCS, COS, CPO, FHC, HQS certifications and is a CPM Candidate.  She has served as KY’s State Meeting Coordinator for SAHMA.  She is always wanting to learn more and support the Affordable Housing Industry.

Veronica is married to her husband Jubal and has 6 adult children: 3 boys and 3 girls, plus two grandsons that she loves spoiling.  Cooper, her MaltiPoo is her sidekick and goes everywhere with her.  He is spoiled as well.  Spending time with her family and friends is very important and her favorite thing to do.  She has multiple hobbies that include gardening and crafting.  She also enjoys her Nigerian Dwarf goats, chickens, and ducks. If asked she will tell you she bleeds blue and is an avid University of Kentucky Wildcat fan.

Kristy Cobb: Director of Compliance

Kristy Cobb has over 20 years of experience in Property Management and has spent 19 of those years focused on Affordable Housing.  She began her career as a Leasing Specialist and has worked diligently, taking step after step to build on her experiences.  She worked in a variety of positions on the property including Assistant Community Manager, Community Manager, and Regional Manager.  Kristy is now the Director of Compliance for Royal American Management.  Kristy has earned industry certifications including the Housing Choice Certified Processional designation, C3P designation, and is an Accredited Real Estate Manager.  In her free time, Kristy enjoys spending time with her family, including her loving husband of 6 years and her 3 beautiful children aged 18, 15, and 5.  Quiet by day with a flair for adventure, Kristy is also an undercover adrenaline-junky, marking things such as cliff jumping and sky diving off her bucket list and spent 3 years as a mini-stock dirt track racer.
