“First Class” RAMP Graduates
“First Class” RAMP Graduates
United States Virgin Islands
February 28, 2022
Congratulations to our first Rising Apartment Management Professionals (RAMP) graduating class! Seven residents from our St. Thomas, Virgin Islands communities completed RAMP, a tuition-free intensive property management training program developed by Royal American Management (RAM).
The RAMP property management training program is a joint initiative developed by RAM’s Training Department and Royal American’s company-wide Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiative. A celebratory kick-off event was held at Lovenlund Apartments, in St. Thomas, June 10, 2021 where the program was introduced to our local residents and to representatives from area agencies that support housing, education and employment.
Residents enrolled in the program and completed online courses through Gracehill property management training solutions. Students were supported and mentored during each phase of the program by RAM’s Training Department. Royal American’s DE&I committee provided additional mentoring and training that included a live diversity class, job shadowing, management scenarios, and role play.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, a graduation ceremony was held virtually on February 28, 2022; but we didn’t let that stop us from celebrating our graduates for their hard work, dedication, and success.
USVI graduates will participate in the final phase of the program which includes paid internships and on-the-job training as entry-level positions become available in the USVI. Graduates are also welcomed to apply for entry-level property management positions at any state-side RAM managed community.
The virtual graduation ceremony was a day of celebration and reflection for our graduates as each shared their personal experiences and triumphs with completing the program. Royal American Management proudly salutes our “First Class” graduates of 2022:
