Celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month with Desiree Marin

For National Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re spotlighting the rich cultures and traditions that make our communities so special. Today, we’re excited to highlight Desiree Marin, the amazing Community Manager of Suwannee Pointe, and the delicious dishes she shared from her Puerto Rican heritage! 🇵🇷

Arroz con Gandules – A classic Puerto Rican rice dish made with pigeon peas, full of flavor and history.
Flan – A sweet, creamy dessert that’s beloved across the island and perfect for any celebration.

Thank you, Desiree, for sharing a piece of your culture with us! We’re proud to celebrate the diversity and traditions that make our communities feel like home.

If you would like to be featured on Dispatch and our socials, please email us a selfie showcasing your Hispanic heritage—whether it’s traditional clothing, delicious food, or a proud flag. Send your photo to us, and let’s celebrate the rich culture and diversity within our team!
